Course Description:

This course is grounded in the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts. Writing, vocabulary development, and exposure to a variety of text types (literary and non-literary) as well as opportunities to enhance speaking and presentation skills are included. The texts are thematically linked, and students explore themes related to maturity, identity, culturally-influenced behaviors, and factors that determine achievement and success in a global society.
