Message from the Food Committee

Did you know that going meatless, even just once or a few times a week, can not only have an amazing impact on your health but also help the environment? The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that the impact of the meat industry on emissions makes up nearly 1/5 of the man-made greenhouse gases accelerating climate change worldwide—more than the entire transportation sector!

You don’t have to cut the meat out completely to make a change! For instance, if you ate one less burger a week for a year, it would be the equivalent of taking a car off the road for 320 miles. It's impressive, isn’t it?

Start decreasing meat consumption by one meatless meal a week. We are here to support you with plenty of filling, healthy, and delicious vegetarian options every day on our lunch menu. You shouldn’t worry about the protein intake; we got it covered by substituting animal protein with amazing plant-based alternatives like grains and pulses, which contain plenty of fiber, minerals, and vitamins as a bonus.

And don’t forget about our salad bar, of course, where you can always get a nutritious plant-based variety to complete your meal.

Anastasia,

Food Committee Member / nutritionist
