Get ready to vibe with 'Not Gonna Take It' - The Ultimate Student-Led Musical Theater Experience!
“Not Gonna Take It' is an original musical that will take center stage at IICS this November 22nd & 23rd . This dazzling performance is entirely led by a cadre of remarkable students, including visionary set designers, fashion-forward costume creators, masterful hair and makeup artists, innovative lighting and sound engineers, a dedicated stage crew, talented musicians, enchanting vocalists, captivating actors and actresses, sensational dancers, and compelling narrators. The script was entirely written by a creative 10th-grade performing arts student as part of her MYP personal project.
Set against the backdrop of a vibrant 1980s high school, 'Not Gonna Take It' immerses you in a tale of two student factions: the rockers, fervently devoted to the rhythm of rock and roll, and the populars, enticed by the allure of synthetic pop melodies. As a new principal shakes things up in the school, the students are caught in an exciting struggle to protect their unique musical identities and safeguard their cherished sense of belonging. Come enjoy an unforgettable journey through the power of music and the spirit of high school, taking you on an exhilarating ride you won't want to miss!
