Around the World Cookery Classes with Youth Foods
Youth Foods is offering the exciting opportunity for young people to take part in our ‘Around the World’ cookery classes, with our first course being open to young carers. We are mindful that some young people may have additional caring responsibilities within the home, with cooking being a primary task for a young carer. Therefore, this programme aims to inspire young carers, teaching skills which enable them to cook delicious and nutritious meals on a budget.
Youth Foods will be taking young people on a tour around the world, offering them a chance to learn how to cook a range of dishes from diverse cuisines. On our first course, we will be visiting... Italy! In the week, a cookery class will be taught by our professional chefs, whereby students will learn the skills, tricks and tips to deliver tasty dishes for their families. On the weekend, a parcel of ingredients will be delivered to each student, giving them the opportunity to showcase their cooking skills and give the ‘recipe of the week’ a go.
At the end of the course, a virtual ceremony will be held whereby students will be awarded with a certificate, with a special guest to officiate the ceremony.
