The Start Something Good Challenge - NOW OPEN!
Big Ideas Wales is excited to launch the Start Something Good Social Enterprise Challenge 2021-22 for young people aged 11-18 living in Wales.
The challenge focus is on Social Enterprise – doing something good.
We want to hear from young people if they can think of a SOLUTION to something that would have a POSITIVE impact on people around them / in their community.
The idea can be big or small – we just want to see that they have really felt motivated and enjoyed taking part.
We are inviting the young people to capture their idea in either a short video clip or PowerPoint slides.
We hope the Challenge will help develop enterprising, creative, ethical and informed citizens. We know that young people have strong opinions about the world around them and there’s a growing movement across Wales who want to do something good – so please encourage participation!
Young people can work on this challenge independently or in groups at home, school, college or in any other community group setting.
It will provide opportunities for them to showcase their entrepreneurial talent and their understanding of the impact of a social enterprise.
A digital poster is attached to share on your social media platforms. We would appreciate if you could also circulate this information to as many of your networks and partners as possible.

Her Dechrau Rhywbeth Da – AR AGOR NAWR!
Mae Syniadau Mawr Cymru yn falch o lansio Her Menter Gymdeithasol Dechrau Rhywbeth Da 2021-22 ar gyfer pobl ifanc 11-18 oed sy’n byw yng Nghymru.
Mae ffocws yr Her ar Fenter Gymdeithasol – gwneud rhywbeth da.
Rydym eisiau clywed gan bobl ifanc os gallant feddwl am ATEB i rywbeth a fyddai’n cael effaith BOSITIF ar y bobl o’u cwmpas / yn eu cymuned.
Gall y syniad fod yn un mawr neu fach – yn syml rydym eisiau gweld eu bod wedi bwrw ati yn ymroddgar ac wedi mwynhau cymryd rhan.
Rydym yn gwahodd y bobl ifanc i gofnodi eu syniad mewn un ai clip fideo byr neu mewn sleidiau Powerpoint.
Gobeithiwn y bydd yr Her yn helpu i ddatblygu dinasyddion mentrus, creadigol, moesegol a gwybodus. Gwyddom fod gan bobl ifanc farn gadarn am y byd o’u cwmpas ac mae yna nifer cynyddol ar draws Cymru sydd eisiau gwneud rhywbeth da – felly anogwch nhw i gymryd rhan, os gwelwch yn dda!
Gall pobl ifanc weithio ar yr her ar eu pennau eu hunain neu mewn grwpiau - gartref, yn yr ysgol, coleg neu fel rhan o grwp cymunedol.
Bydd yn rhoi cyfle i arddangos eu talentau entrepreneuraidd a’u dealltwriaeth o effaith menter gymdeithasol.
Mae poster digidol wedi’i atodi i’w rannu ar eich llwyfannau cyfryngau cymdeithasol. Byddem yn gwerthfawrogi hefyd petaech yn gallu rhannu manylion yr Her â chymaint o’ch rhwydweithiau a phartneriaid â phosib.
