NHS seeking delivery drivers for LFTs and other consumables.

NWSSP is currently looking for adaptable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Store Teams across Wales.

Please note this is a Bank position and is not a permanent position. There are no guaranteed hours with Bank but the benefit of bank is it gives you experience, flexibility and a variety of different roles and positions available.


Due to our current demands, we are looking for reliable, hardworking and flexible workers who are interested in helping us during this time. We can promise you a rewarding and satisfying role within a busy department in either our stores/warehouse environment, or alternatively driving and delivery of daily consumables.

The basic requirements for the Stores role include

• Spend time walking around and manually handling products and equipment

• Picking and packing of daily consumable items for hospitals within NHS Wales

• Previous warehouse experience preferred

• Numeracy & Literacy skills may be required


The basic requirements for the Drivers role include

• The post holder will primarily be responsible for the transport/replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood, secure and non-secure stationery and other stock items, e.g. medical consumables and mail distributed to primary health care sites (Hospitals, GPs, pharmacies, opticians, dental surgeries) and its subsequent delivery to their

healthcare premises across Wales.

• The postholder will be required to respond efficiently and effectively to instructions from HCS supervisory staff or an appropriate Control Centre, and carry out the safe, secure collection, transportation, and delivery of a range of blood products, pathology, goods and items between GP surgeries, patients’ homes, hospitals and other NHS establishments, as required.

• The work undertaken involves daily scheduled and non-scheduled work, and the duties are carried out in

accordance with the HCS operating procedures and planned schedules.


Working Hours:- Our core shifts are mixed over a number of hours days – ranging from 6am until 6pm Monday to Friday.

Shifts are usually made up as follow:-

• 6am until 2pm

• 8am until 4pm

• 10 am until 6pm
