Job Overview

The role will include teaching within our Gymnastics Programme from Recreational to Elite. You will be expected to plan and deliver sessions under the guidance of the Head Coaches. Sessions will take place at our main club on Cardiff Road, Nantgarw and also from our new tumbling venue on Treforest Industrial estate. Hours are negotiable and mainly evenings and weekends.

Background

All Stars Gymnastics Club opened in 2016 from a Village Hall and has since moved to a dedicated facility and now sees around 500 families using the facility each week. We have developed our gymnasts in the discipline of Women’s artistic, Men’s artistic and tumbling and now have some gymnasts in the Welsh Squad. We are now looking to grow our team with new coaches to allow us to take more children off of the waiting list and get them involved. New coaches would be mainly involved in the recreational (grass routes) level coaching but there would be potential for higher level coaching for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for delivering sessions in a safe and fun way

• Responsible for planning sessions for the age and level of the gymnasts

• Commit to the hours agreed upon

• Work together with the other coaches at the club as part of a team

• Undertake training where required

• Complete administrative and cleaning tasks where applicable

Qualifications and experience

• Ideally a minimum of a Sports Leaders qualification but training can be provided

• Some experience within coaching children in sport

• Reliable, fun and enthusiastic

• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS with Welsh Gymnastics
