Since 2004 I have been a Local Councillor and I work part time at Coleg y Cymoedd. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my interests include walking and outdoor activities.
I was born in Trecynon and spent 8 happy years at Aberdare Park Primary School. I enjoyed all aspects of school life including performances, sport and memorable school trips including one to France. When I was In Year 6, I was appointed Headteachers Prefect. The education and experience I received at the school certainly put me in good stead for life.
I am passionate about Education and Learning and I am delighted to have returned to the school as a Governor, a position I have held for the past XX years. The Staff and Governors at Aberdare Park Primary have high aspirations for all pupils and the wellbeing of the pupils is at the heart of all aspects of the school.
As the Chair of Governors I am committed to supporting the school as I believe we have a duty to ensure that all young people get the best possible life chances through education – ‘Every Child, Every Opportunity, Every Day’!
My name is Claire Carter and I am a parent governor at Aberdare Park Primary School as well as a member of support staff.
I help children learn every day and love my role within the school.
I have a keen Interest in the future of the school.
Hi,
I am a parent governor at Aberdare Park Primary School. I have two young children at the school currently as well as an older child who previously loved his time at the school. It equipped him with skills and confidence to succeed in what ever path he takes in the future, and I am confident that Aberdare Park Primary will do the same for my younger children.
I am a member of the PTFSA and when ever I have any spare time, I help in organising fun activities for the children as well as trying to raise vital funds for the school. All the money raised improves and enriches the overall school experience each pupil has. I love seeing all the smiling faces of the pupils after seeing the local pantomime at Christmas time, and this makes all the hard work worthwhile.
I want all children to thrive at Aberdare Park Primary and am committed to doing everything possible for this to be achieved.
I am a strategic management partnership specialist with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and providing business solutions across Wales and the UK. My passion for driving Net Zero has led me to support numerous businesses in achieving their sustainability goals through education and support services. I also focus on enhancing employability and opportunities for future generations.
As a Level 7 qualified mentor, coach, and successful entrepreneur, I am dedicated to continuous learning. I believe in the transformative power of quality education and strive to contribute positively through my professional and personal endeavours.
In my spare time, I am actively involved in a charity that aims to improve the environment and community where I live. I am committed to making a difference and look forward to bringing my skills and passion to the role of primary school governor.
