How did various reform movements develop and expand from 1800 to 1848?

The women's suffrage movement was interrupted by the Civil War and Reconstruction. It wasn't realized until the 19th Amendment, ratified at the beginning of the Roaring Twenties. How was the ratification of the 18th Amendment also a win for women's movements.

Seneca Falls

Seneca Falls Convention, assembly held on July 19–20, 1848, at Seneca Falls, New York, that launched the woman suffrage movement in the United States. The convention passed 12 resolutions—11 unanimously—designed to gain certain rights and privileges that women of the era were denied. (Britannica)
