Who may participate in the Teacher Transfer Process?
Eligible full-time employees (both probationary and continuing contract status) occupying the following job classifications may participate in the Teacher Transfer Process:
● Teachers
● Elementary Innovative Learning Coaches (ILCs)
● Secondary ILCs who desire to transfer to an elementary location
● Coordinators of Assessment and Remediation (CARs)
● Librarians
● School Counselors
What are the eligibility requirements for participating in the Teacher Transfer Process?
Certificated employees in the above referenced categories are eligible to participate in the Teacher Transfer Process.
When do they apply?
Teachers may apply for the transfer process as soon as school-based vacancies are posted.
When does the Teacher Transfer Process end?
The Teacher Transfer Process typically ends around the time the school year ends. Exact dates will be communicated in a memo.
Principals may begin interviewing candidates for the upcoming school year as soon as school-based vacancies are posted.
No transfers may be made after communicated date.
Principals must communicate with one another to provide and receive supervisory references and confirm that employees are in good standing prior to notifying the Human Resources Department of transfer offers.
