The purposes of employee performance evaluations are to promote communication and provide useful feedback about an employee's job performance, faciliate working relationships, provide a historical record of performance, and to contribute to professional development.
In order for performance evaluations to be meaningful, administrators should:
maintain thorough and accurate documentation
avoid surprises. The perforamnce evaluation should not contain "new" information. In other words, the evaluation should not be the first instance in which a performance deficiency is addressed.
HCPS utilizes the Unified Talent Perform system to docuement the performance evaluation process.
Administrators should contact the appropriate HR Specialist for guidance regarding employee performance concerns.
