8th Grade Boys Basketball
The B Team closed out their season Thursday night with a strong win over Bedford, finishing the year the right way. Asher Alam led the charge with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, setting the tone on both ends of the floor.
With the victory, the Blackhawks finish the season at an impressive 8–1 record. This group competed in tough, hard-fought games all year and consistently found ways to overcome tight matchups. They stayed composed, battled through adversity, and executed when it mattered most.
Your season leaders are:
-Pierre Bondele led the team in scoring at 8.8 points per game.
-Jaxon Martinez anchored the paint with 9.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
-Asher Alam controlled the tempo, averaging 3.2 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
The A Team earned a hard-fought 48–41 victory over the Bedford Broncos in a tight battle that tested their composure. When the game got tough, the Blackhawks responded and found a way to finish.
Defense made the difference. The team forced 18 steals and turned that pressure into offense, scoring 17 points off turnovers. Tristan Grove set the tone with 6 steals and 8 assists, controlling the game on both ends as the floor general. Coen Martin led the way with a dominant double-double, 19 points and 10 rebounds, stepping up when it mattered most.
A gritty win built on defense, teamwork, and resilience.
