Choir Field Trip- Our chorale traveled to Group Dynamics for some team building today!

Our 8th Grade Blackhawk Volleyball teams faced off against the Watauga Warriors on Monday night! A Team came out strong and claimed victory in a quick two sets! Players of the Game were: Mia Hernandez – for her fantastic passing and Ryleigh Harrison – for bringing the heat with her aggressive swings! B Team battled hard and took it to three sets, but Watauga took the win. Players of the Game were: Jassidee Pleasant – for her outstanding attitude, and Riley Ahmed – for serving up success with enthusiasm and love for the game! Great effort all around — keep improving and pushing forward, Blackhawks! Both teams play against Central Jr High on Wednesday, October 15 at 5pm and 6:15pm. This is B Team's season finale! Come out and let's cheer them on loud and proud!! Blackhawk Pride!
7th Grade Football- The Harwood Blackhawks continued their dominant season with a 29–0 shutout victory over the Watauga Warriors, improving their record to 5–1 on the year! The team showed toughness, focus, and discipline in all phases of the game, keeping their momentum rolling as the season heads into the final stretch.
Players of the Game
• Sosaia Haukinima (Outside Linebacker ): Set the tone defensively with relentless pursuit and key stops all night.
• Liam Robertson (Offense and Defensive Line): Controlled the trenches on both sides of the ball, protecting the offense and disrupting the Warrior attack.
• River Hobbs (Offense and Defensive Line): MVP Delivered a dominant performance up front, showcasing power, technique, and leadership in the line battle.
The Blackhawks continue to prove what it means to be Blackhawk Built — playing with hard work, respect, dedication, discipline, and leadership every snap. Go Hawks!
7th Grade Volleyball- A Team dominated at their tournament this weekend, earning first place after playing through four tough games and showing outstanding teamwork, focus, and perseverance. A special shoutout goes to Morgan Tribble and Julia Sweeney for adjusting to new positions to benefit the team, Winona Sika for her aggression at the net, Aubrey Wyrick and Harper Brown for their untouchable serves, Paula Betancourt and Landry Tribble for setting up our offense, and Maddy Pruitt, Zoey Fuentes, Kristen Carlson, and Ashtian Hartnett for their passes that set us up for success.
Our 7th Grade Volleyball Teams brought the energy Monday night in their matches against Watauga Middle School — and both teams came out on top!
The B Team started things off strong battling through exciting volleys and demonstrating awesome teamwork to claim the first win of the night. Then the A Team kept the momentum going, serving up aces left and right finishing with a big victory of their own.
It was an incredible night of hustle, teamwork, and Hawk pride on full display. Congratulations to both teams — way to go, Black Hawks!

Hat Day- Next Friday is tomorrow! Students can pay $2 on Friday if they did not already get their wristbands.
Fall Dance – October 17th, 6–8pm. Tickets: $5 pre-sale / $10 at the door. Reminder: mums are not allowed, but decorated buttons are welcome. Here is a link to the buttons our cheerleaders are selling

Pink Out- October 22nd will be a Pink OUT Day because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October 31st- As a fundraiser, students WILL be able to wear school appropriate costumes for the 1/2 day. Students will be able to buy wristbands the week of in lunch. Costumes cannot include masks, any body suits and must meet dress code requirements.
