Let’s finish strong before the break! Please check out the holiday dress up days to prepare!
HAC or Home Access Center is another helpful tools to be informed about what is happening in your student's classes.
We also want to make all families aware that IDs are mandatory. Replacements are $3 for the ID and $1 for the lanyard. Students are expected to wear a white (7th), orange (8th), or black lanyard (9th). Cash can be paid to the front office!
It has been a great week at Harwood.
Powderpuff- The 8th grade Powderpuff team beat the 7th graders in a fun and competitive game. The girls played with strong effort and teamwork, showing great focus from start to finish. The boys kept everyone laughing and brought great energy with their cheering. The event showed the spirit and pride of Harwood Junior High.
We are Harwood - We had so many great entries into our contest, with over 20 doors and over 150 students participated. Our winning door was from our Thespian Club, second place went to Ms. Todorovich and Ms. Dorsey and shout outs went to Ms. Gonzalez, Coach Brockington and Mrs. Kate Hackworth. Check out pictures below!
American Heart Association- We are excited to share that our partnership with the American Heart Association for One Week to Save Lives wraps up tomorrow! Students who complete the challenge will be rewarded during 7th period tomorrow.
Through this program, our students have been encouraged to register at http://www2.heart.org/goto/HarwoodJrHigh and complete Finn’s Mission. Families who participate learn important lifesaving skills, including Hands-Only CPR, the warning signs of a stroke, and the dangers of vaping and tobacco.
Harwood Junior High is proud to be a campus of lifesavers, and we are aiming for as many students as possible to complete Finn’s Mission!
Students who complete Finn’s Mission will earn:
8 hours of community service
An entry into a national drawing for one of five pairs of tickets to the 2027 Super Bowl.
No School
Santa hats will be on sale for $5. Students can wear then any or every day in December.
Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation Scholarship- Applications were provided to those interested in applying.
