It’s no secret that many students at TAB go to the cafeteria regularly for lunch. This raised an intriguing question, what are the favourite foods of Blakelock’s cafeteria?
With a wide selection of products, it was hard to narrow down the categories. Blakelock’s cafeteria has a wide range of items with a large selection of different flavours and accommodation. After careful consideration, the food was divided into four categories; desserts, snacks, meals and drinks. To narrow down the winners, Tabloid members created a google form and shared it with the student body. We received over 100 responses and are excited to share the TAB’s favourite cafeteria foods with you!
In the dessert category there were nine options. They ranged from types of cookies, muffins, freezies, cinnamon buns, and brownies. The winner of this category was the chocolate chip cookie, with the freezie a close second. 31.1% of survey participants voted for this option.
"They're soft and the chocolate is gooey."
-Jess DeMelo

The second category was snacks which consisted of chips and fruit. The winner of this category was sun chips, receiving a vote from 33% of students.

However, Garlic bread won by a landslide, with a whopping 60% of voters voting for it. It’s clear that garlic bread is a fan favourite among the community.
"It's warm, cheesy, and filling; it tastes like comfort food."

The famous Vitamin Water
The final category was beverages. Six options were provided, with Vitamin Water coming out on top, receiving 40.8% of the votes. The other options included SmartWater, various juices, smoothies, apple juice, and chocolate milk.
