Student Team P-Power
On November 28th and 29th, TAB students and teachers battled in a heated dodgeball tournament. Ten student and five teacher teams signed up to participate in the schoolwide event. The tournament was hosted by the Athletic Council for two days during lunch. During the tournament, the large gym was full of cheering, music, and enthusiastic spectators waiting to see who would win the competition. Before each five minute game, the rules were announced and referees prepared to eliminate players for violations.
During the first round, student teams competed against each other. Once the games were over, the winners had the chance to advance and play against their teachers. The games were filled with intensity and excitement from all participants.
The next day, the winning student teams returned to the large gym to play against the teachers in the second round. The gym was full of people, the bleachers overflowed, and the energy was high once more. Teacher teams huddled and discussed strategy in coordinated outfits, while students hyped up their peers.
The first teams to play were Daj Mabal, a student team, and the Artful Dodgers, a teacher team. The Artful Dodgers lived up to their name and wore vibrant, colorful matching headbands, wristbands, and t-shirts created by Mrs. Barry. The students ended up having a good start, and Daj Mabal won the first game, gaining the student teams the first point. Luckily for the teachers, there were a few more games they could use to recuperate after their loss. The teachers came back strong as they proceeded to win the last four games in the tournament.

After several exciting matches and lots of enthusiasm, the teachers took the victory in the end, winning a total of four out of five matches. It was so fun to see who indeed was better at dodgeball.
