Prom: An Evening of Memories

Prom is one of the most anticipated events of high school. On May 26, Blakelock’s seniors had a night of food, dance, and fun at the Burlington Convention Centre. 

This year, the theme was Blakelock Royale. Filled with card-related decorations (including some designed by the seniors), a photo booth, rad music, and beautiful outfits; the night was unforgettable. 

The prom committee, led by Ms. Sian, Mme. Telford, and Ms. McAllan did an impressive job of planning prom and ensuring every detail came to life. Special thank you to TABloid member, Rachel Davies, for assisting greatly with the planning of this event as well. 

The night was abuzz, and the outfits were some of TAB’s best seen yet! The menu consisted of parmesan chicken, pasta, vegetable stir fry, and blueberry cheesecake. Most importantly, the music was the highlight of the night. Alongside classic hits like the "Cha Cha Slide" by Mr. C and "Party In The USA" by Miley Cyrus, the seniors enjoyed international hits and slow dancing songs, too.

At the end of the night, students had an incredible time. Not only was it an evening of amusement, it was also a night for the students to reminisce about the memories created throughout their four years of high school.
