The council includes 20 members ranging from grade 10 to grade 12. The grade nines will have the opportunity to be part of this new council as grade nine representatives.

As you can see from the many lists of names above, the student council has expanded in numbers when compared to this year's team.
Having a student council at Blakelock's is very important in many different ways. This student council allows TAB students to have the opportunity to learn skills like leadership, communication, teamwork, organization, and public speaking - all of which are helpful when going into post-secondary studies and stepping into the real world.
If you did not have the chance to apply to the 2022-2023 student council or did not get in this year, do not worry, my friend! There will be a general council next year which allows every student to input their creative ideas and participate in running school events; more information will be given in the fall.
With a bigger group and wider variety of promising leaders, it can be expected that many great things will be coming to Blakelock in the near future!
