The importance of this project is to know how much importance trees actually have to the birds and if we cut them all down, we’re taking the birds and other animals down with them. I investigated how many birds call the trees home and live near or in trees. My approach for investigating this was to go to multiple places, such as a park, a forest, a lake, and an open field to gather data and see which location has the most birds. In all my data, I found that an open field had the least amount of birds: 4-, the park and the lake both had between 4-10, and the forest had 50+. By doing this project, I saw that many birds live in trees and if we cut down too many trees, birds and loads of other species would go extinct.
