The Effect of Climate Change on the Population of Orange Sea Nettle Jellyfish - Katilyn

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to show you how climate change affects the population of Orange Sea Nettle jellyfish. I think that someone would care about the work that I did because jellyfish are able to tell us when climate change is happening. If the Orange Sea Nettle can indicate climate change, then they can help us understand why other animals are migrating. First, I found an animal that could indicate climate change. Next, I found specific information about how Orange Sea Nettle turtles indicate climate change. Then, I gathered the information into a chart and found out how jellyfish indicate climate change. Lastly, I wrote about all the information that I collected. The result that I found was that jellyfish can indeed indicate climate change. They indicate weather when they bloom. They bloom due to the temperatures rising in the water. A “bloom” is when jellyfish reproduce. In conclusion, jellyfish can indicate climate change and the population of jellyfish rises when it happens.
