The chosen project was on the effect of knowledge of wild lions' lifestyle on the design and maintenance of zoo habitats for lions to see how similar or different the two lifestyles were and if it had an effect on the overall health of the lion. This is important to see if animals kept in captivity are being treated fairly. Before we go and give our money to the zoo to watch the animals for ourselves, we should find out if we should be funding these corporations if they don't give their animals a fair life. The research focused mainly on the diet of the lion because it's a big part of their health along with other factors. The investigation began with research on this topic by finding different websites and articles that provided accurate and trustworthy information. The results proved that the diet given to lions is based on what lions would normally eat in the wild. This includes eating 11 pounds of a variety of meat a day for a female and 15 pounds for a male. The investigation can prove that lions kept in captivity are still getting the same diet as they would in nature. There's even evidence proving that lions in captivity tend to live even longer than usual!
