STEM
In STEM , we focused on green schools and how to make our school tidier. We had to notify the school about recycling, so we made a big posters saying " make our school green" on the poster we stuck on disposable masks and wipes, some paper, tin foil and rubbish to outline the point of the poster. We also hung up signs in classrooms to remind students to recycle.
We hung it up in the assembly/ reception area!
We learnt about electricity and alternating currents in the science part of STEM.
We made a circuit on iPad and saw how the current varied.
We also looked at force of magnets too.
We learned about the multi-meter basics. We learned how to connect the circuit to the correct dial and how to measure the amount of amps and volts from it. We then learned how to calculate resistance and electrical power. We also drew the circuits and made them in real life in the science room but this wasn't new as it was part of our Junior cycle course.
