On Friday before midterm we all were in computer classrooms and were connected to a zoom call with Cory from Microsoft in Dublin. We got a quick tour of the Microsoft workplace in Leopards town Dublin. It was huge! It had so much in there like a yoga studio, beauticians and hair studio and even 5 restaurants!!! The workers there have very flexible hours – some can work at home or come in to the building after school drop offs which is very convenient for working parents! WE were all shocked to see how cool Microsoft was to work in the even have a virtual waterfall. This was done by the use of code and Cory was going to show us how to fo basic code. We went onto arcade.makecode.com and this is where we made a "video game" like game. WE had to make characters, the scene, how they would move, villain's, how they win or lose points etc. I enjoyed this part of the programme the most ! The programme took about 2.5hrs and we spent most of that time coding.

I really enjoyed this programme and would definitely do it again !

1 thing i would change

• I would like to have looked more at Microsoft than coding like different departments in Microsoft
