In term 1, we had Mr.Hennessy for computers. We learned about emails and google suites, we had to make a document about it. I already knew a lot about emails as I've always had personal and school emails so i was very familiar with the format. We also covered how to right an email and its structure last year in English, so there wasn't much new things to learn.
We also learned how to merge an email which i never knew you could do. These are directions on how you complete a mail merge.
Open an existing Word document, or create a new one.
Click the Mailings tab.
Click the Start Mail Merge command.
Select Step by Step Mail Merge Wizard.

Mail merging is ideal for businesses and companies who need to give quick emails to people and saves so much time!
We also learned how to make a correct google form and what questions to answer so we can properly analyse our results. Here is my google forms survey.

In computers this term, we had Ms Cregan. In computers we learned how to do basic coding by using arcade.makecode.com. We made an easy game where we had to create characters and enemies. We had to make a 'reward' for the good character to level up on the enemy. We also had to a way the enemies can level up on the good guys leaving the good characters down a life. Here is how i made my game.

In this term, i had Ms Griffin for computers. We looked at makecode.microbit where we learnt about coding and how to code a micro-bit. We also looked at Canva and how to make posters and templates. For our assignment we had to make a poster for a subject or event of our choice. I choose to make a poster on Irish Guide dogs as we were planning a fundraising event. Here is my poster
