In term 1, we had Mr. Quinlan for Technical Graphics. We did a design investigation project on a physical item of our choice. We had to make 3 A3 pages on research of an item. I chose to do my project on mobile phones. On the first page of my project, i conducted my research. I had to find lots of different types, brands and sizes of phones. I had to research the different storage and durability of the phones. I looked at the different colors of the phones, the prices and the brand logos of the phones. All these headings made each phone different.

For the second page we had a choice to do a history line (time line), a price line, a style line or a functionality line. I chose to do a price line on my second page. I had to research all different types of phones and document there prices. My price line went from €22 to €1679. i noticed that how the higher the price went for a phone the bigger the size of the phone was. I also noticed that the more expensive the phones got the less durable they got.

And finally the third and last page of my project was a compare and contrast with sketches. For this page it was important that i chose two very different phones so that i could discuss both phones more.
