Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working with Colt.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need screwdrivers, and something to reverse engineer.
What is your plan to create in this project?
To take as many pictures of the laptop as possible and learn what all the parts are
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will take apart the laptop and research different parts in the computer.
I answered the planning questions and started looking for what to take apart.
We started taking apart the laptop.
We continued taking apart the laptop.
We finished taking the laptop apart.
We filmed the video of parts and edited the video.
I answered the reflection questions.
Video of the laptop parts.
Using screwdrivers, an old laptop, and iMovie, I made a video on the parts of a laptop because I wanted to do reverse engineering and take apart something, so I decided to make a video on the taken apart the laptop and about the parts in it.
During this process, I learned what all the parts inside a laptop are. I learned this by asking my teammate and looking up some of the parts. Learning this made it easier to make the video on the parts.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because I gained/constructed knowledge on laptops and how they work based on the parts inside of them.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing where all the screws in the laptop were. I was able to find it by searching for them and lifting up different things.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way our video was. The reason why I would change it is I would make the voice-over flow more, and I would also make it go slower to have extra time to explain the parts' job.
