Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working in a team with Sophie.
What materials will you need for your project?
A drone, controller, obstacles, and an iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to create a obstacle course to fly a drone through.
What unique qualities will your project have? A unique quality my project will have is the drone will go through different height and sized obstacles hopefully without hitting any.
Choose what I was doing for my project, did my list of 10 and planning questions.
We flew the drone in the hall and flew it with vr.
Figured out how to work the drone and connect the controller to it.
The drone motor stopped working so we stopped using it.
Flew the drone through the hallways and tested different ways to start.
I did my reflection questions and uploaded the video of the drone.
Pictures of the broken motor.
A video of the drone with a broken motor.
Using drones and the Tello app, I flew the drone through the hallway and learned how to do flips and control it because I wanted to do a project where I could learn to fly the drone and make it go through and obstacle course. We did this project with the intent of making it go through an obstacle course, but we had to stop since the drone's motor stopped working.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to fly the drone or connect it to the iPod . I was able to do it by watching a video on how to connect the drone. After I watched the video I followed all the steps and then learned all the controlls and started to fly it.
During this process, I learned how to fly a drone. I did this by connecting the drone and controller to an iPod and watching a video on how to fly it. I also learned that drones can break easily, which ours did.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the drone we used. The reason why I would change it is because the one we had used broke while we were trying to do our project. This would improve our project because it would make it so that we could meet the end goal of the project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because I constructed more knowledge on how to use drones. I did this by watching a video on how to use the drone.
