Reflection Questions
Using the Easel software and the CNC machine, I created a sign for the YAC room because I wanted to make something with the CNC machine and I wanted it to be meaningful and could be used for years to come. I made this sign for a club that I'm in so we had some decoration in our room.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my teacher leaving my original piece of wood at home so I couldn't carve it. I was able to do it by using a different piece of wood and adjusting my design to fit it. I then was bale to carve my project that day.
During this process, I learned how to use the Easel software and share the link to my project. I learned this by trial and error and by asking one of my classmates who had already used this machine before. Learning these skills made me able to do this project.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the inner part of the logo. The reason why I would change it is because it isn't completely level and there are spots that bump up and are kind of rough. Changing this would make my project look more finished and clean around the edges.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because I learned how to use the CNC machine and how to share the link to my project.
