I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need a Sphereo, an iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I will create a obstacle course for the sphereo to go through.
What unique qualities will your project have?
My project will have the robot go up a ramp.
I answered the planning questions and made my list of 10.
I edited the video and then answered the reflection questions.
I played around with the Sphereo to learn how to use it.
I got the Sphereo to get over the ramps.

Using a Sphereo bolt robot, I created a video of the robot going up a ramp with effects and sounds, because I wanted to use the Shpereo and make it go up a ramp but also film a video of it with some effects. I did this by using a video editing software and adding a filter and sound effects to the video.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the robot not wanting to go over the ramp and fall off of it. I was able to do it by following some instructions and lining up the robot just right and then going at a higher speed so it would be able to make it up..
During this process, I learned how to control a Sphereo and make it drive in a certain direction. I learned how to do this by following some instructions on an app and also by trail and error.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my goal for this project. The reason why I would change it is that I want to do something more complex and challenging to make this project harder. This would make it a better overall project because I would have more to work towards.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I constructed knowledge on how to use a Sphereo bolt. I used instructions and learned by trial and error how to control the robot.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in robotics engineering, and software engineer.
