This is Levi's final flight. I did not upload all of the other videos because there are so many, but they can be viewed here.
Using drones and my iPad camera, I created videos of me and my friend flying drones. I did this because my friend wanted to do a project with me and fly the drones. He has definitely learned well.
During this process, I learned how to fly drones. I also learned how to record with the drone cameras.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I learned how to fly drones through lots of different ways. My project also connects to Global Collaborator because I published a video for the whole world to see about my drone flying skills.
A challenge I overcame on this project was editing the videos. I was able to do it by finding an online video editor. It actually works great.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how many courses I did. The reason why I would change it is because we did a lot of videos of various different flights. Because of this, I only put the final videos on the website.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in video editing/drone flying.
