What materials will you need for your project?

An iPad, iMovie software, and pictures related to the video.

What is your plan to create in this project?

I am making a video about something that I like.

What unique qualities will your project have?

I will have information about fishing and a behind the scenes view.

• Using iMovie and the internet, I created a video.

• This video is about fishing because I wanted people to know about fishing.

• During this process, I learned how to use basic iMovie skills.

• These skills include finding copyright free pictures for my video, and using a microphone with an iPad.

• I used the skills that I learned to successfully make a video.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator.

• My project ties to Empowered Learner because I am using technology to accomplish my goal of making a video.

• My project also ties to Global Collaborator because my video and webpage is free for the world to see.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was the due date.

• I was able to do it by working hard and using my time at school with the iPads wisely.

• Another challenge I overcame was doing a voiceover. I overcame this by trying multiple times and finally figuring out how to use the microphone.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I did it.

• The reason why I would change it is because this is my first time making a video as a school project and now that I have already done it, I know that I can do it better.

• Another reason to change it would be that I used just pictures and not stock footage. Next time, I will use more footage.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. 

• My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School because my project connects to careers in video editing.
