Using wooden blocks and I movie, I created a kingdom. I created a kingdom because I knew that when we used wooden blocks to build a kingdom, it would take a long time and we would have a lot of pictures. I was right.
During this process, I learned how long it takes to take 1,080 pictures. Lets put it this way, it took us 7 school hours to take that many pictures. That is about 150 pictures per hour, or about 3 pictures per minute.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I was able to design my project before I started, rather than go with the flow.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having enough pictures. My partner was able to figure it out, and had the idea of making monsters destroy the city. However I made the monsters.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time we put into editing the video. The reason why I would change it is because we put too much time into it, but it doesn't look like it. Next time I should spend more time focusing in silence, rather than talking to my friend while I finished it.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project's first connection connects to the Digital Citizen CTE program at Hastings High School because I used technology to responsibly use my time to complete my project. My project's second CTE connection connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School because I had all these variables come into play, and I had to come up with a solution that would meet all of those requirements.
My project connects to careers in stop motion animation. My project connects to careers in stop motion animation because I took inanimate objects and 'gave them life'. The inanimate objects that we used were: Toy cars, wooden blocks, pieces of paper, and a metal pole.
This is my final product. I hope you grab some popcorn and enjoy!
This is the story plot:

They come to repair the kingdom, but it breaks more and they get spooked away. Then the monsters come and destroy the kingdom. Next, the cars heroically come back and save the kingdom. Lastly, the kingdom gets re-built and is bigger and better than ever!
