8p1-Video Project

Using IMovie, I created a video about how I have changed. I made this video because I want to express what I am intrested in. Some of the pictures is the video include one of my favorite sports, some of my recently aquired hobbies, and the instuments I play.

During this process, I learned how to save a video from IMovie to google drive. While I was learning this, it was explained to me through the help of fellow students and a few videos that I researched. Other than that, I remembered everything from last year, and had little to no problems.   

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen. My project ties to digital citizen because I made sure to use non-copyright images and photos for my slideshow.

A challenge I overcame on this project was thinking that I was supposed to make an about me video. I misunderstood the assaignment, and I created an 'about me' video. I later realized that that was for people who had not been in the class previous years. I was able to fix it by changing a few of my titles and a some of my voice-overs.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the smoothness of my voiceovers. The reason why I would change it, is because I feel that my voiceovers weren't smooth and connected. I would do this by taking more time to record my voiceovers. I might have even created a script, rather than reciting off of memory.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School because I was creating and editing a video online and then published it for everyone to see.

My project connects to careers in film editing because I was piecing together photos to make a video. I also added sound recordings to my movie. The average salary for a film editor can range anywhere from about $45,000 to $100,000.
