7p8- Makey Makey

Using Makey Makey, I created a piano because Alyssa and I have a taste in music. However, Alyssa wanted to play a Pac Man. Our compromise was Escape the Dungeon!

During this process, I learned how to connect Alligator clips. I have only seen Alligator clips, but never used them. They weren't that hard to use.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because Alyssa and I didn't know how to connect the Alligator clips, so we searched it up.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to connect the alligator clips. I was able to do it by looking up it up on You Tube. I as well asked another student if she could help me.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of projects that I made. The reason why I would change it is because I only made two projects. I would next time make at least three more.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School because we tested and designed a piano controller.

My project connects to careers with electricians. My project connects to careers with electricians because I created a closed circuit with the Makey Makey. I as well used wires, Alligator clips, and closed circuits.
