7P5- 3D design

Using TinkerCad, I created some bookmarks because I need more bookmarks. I also made this because I always break my bookmarks so these will be sturdier. The final reason I made these is because I want cool bookmarks and these are cool.

During this process, I learned how to make things using simple shapes. I learned this because they only have simple shapes on TinkerCad. I also learned how to use TinkerCad to solve problems.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because this put on a website that anyone in the world can see. This is also connected to Knowledge constructor.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not being satisfied with my design. I was able to do it by changing my design. Another challenge I overcame was not knowing how to create holes.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change my design back to the original. The reason why I would change it is because the bookmarks were too small.  I would also change it back to the original because my books still need a stand. 

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  That is because we designed it and you can hold it in your hand.  

My project connects to careers in 3d printing engineering because they use a 3d printer to make things. My project also connects to careers in 3d printing technicians. That is because they translate designs into prints.
