Today we finished the shell
Today we finished cording and worked on the filament sensor
Today we fixed some parts
Today we fixed the belt
Today we attatched the filament sensor
Today we covered the wires
Busy - not here
Today we built the top
Today we finished building the printer and started calibrating
Today we tried calibrating the printer but there is ANOTHER problem with the belts but we fixed it and did all of the tests.
Today we kept trying to fix the printer.
Today we finally fixed it and got it done!!
Using an unfinished 3D printer, I created a finished 3D printer because we did not finish it. We also used an extra screwdriver. This was to speed up the process.
During this process, I learned to be careful, but still be fast. I also learned how to calibrate a 3D printer. That is because we had to calibrate it, as well as building it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because we post this website to the world. It also connects to Knowledge Connector.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to quickly finish this printer. I was able to do it by locking in and not slacking. I also overcame the challenge by splitting the workload.\
Given a chance to do this again, I would change where we kept the parts. The reason why I would change it is because we lost a lot of parts. I also would stop us from slacking.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. That is because we engineered this printer.
My project connects to careers in Production Line Assembly Worker because they assemble things in a group, like I did. Another career is a product assembler. That is because they assemble things that go to other places.
Final reflection - Overall, this was a very fun and educational project. I learned a lot. For example, I learned
