Today we made our namescroll and figured out how to use the Micro:Bit. I also started on a compass using a YouTube tutorial.
Today I finished my compass, made a D20, and made a 0-100 love meter.
Today me and Chloe made a radio conversation and messed with that for the rest of class

Today I scrapped Tetris and worked on a functioning flappy bird game but no video because I didn't finish
Using, Micro:Bit, I created many different games because you can make them and I like messing with my Micro:Bit. I also made some tools like a compass and a step counter. I made these to make life more convenient.
During this process, I learned how to code using code blocks better. I knew how to use them before but only very simple commands. Now, I know how to do some very complex coding.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to Digital Citizen because it is all digital. This also connects to Global Collaborator because I posted this on a website that anyone in the world can see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to use the Micro:Bit. I was able to do it by experimenting and watching YouTube tutorials. Another struggle I experienced was figuring out how to make the radio. I overcame this by finding a YouTube tutorial and copying it onto my partner's computer.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much time I spent on certain projects. The reason why I would change it is because I probably could have made more projects. I could also probably have found more ideas and made batter quality projects.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. That is because we coded the Micro: Bit.
My project connects to careers in computer making because they code. They also use things just like Micro:Bits. Another job is a computer programmer because, as stated before, they code just like I did with my Micro:Bit.
