Using a drone and the coding website, I created a drone that follows a course because I wanted to see how accurate it was. I also made the drone do flips and change colors. I did this to test how much code it could take.

During this process, I learned that drones naturally drift if they're overflowed with code. I also learned that drones are very sensitive to code. If you make it go too fast it will crash or fall.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I share this website with the world. This also connects to Digital Citizen. This is because I didn't plagiarize or break copyright.

A challenge I overcame on this project was fixing the drift. I was able to do it by getting rid of some unnecessary code. I also fixed it by offsetting the drone on the starting pad to make it go where I wanted it to.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I made it do. The reason why I would change it is because I wasn't quite able to get it to run the course. I would also do this because there were cooler things I could have made it do.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because I programmed the drone.

My project connects to careers in commercial drone programming because they also code drones. This also connects to careers in Drone Project Managing. This is because they manage and code drones, like I did.
