Work Experience Application Deadline is 16th February 2025
Please see Mrs. Dymond or Mr. Bonser if this is an issue.
Work Experience is highly valued at Hastings and we ensure that all Year 10 students complete a Work Experience placement in the summer term.
Unlike many other schools we encourage students to identify and arrange their own work experience placement as we feel this strongly develops their employability skills and confidence in applying for future employment and education opportunities. Work experience also provides opportunity to gain insights into specific careers students may be interested in. We support learners in identifying suitable placements where needed, and have good working relationships with a number of local employers who are keen to engage with students and provide meaningful work placements.
Many organisations also offer virtual work experiences. We will support any pupil who identifies a suitable virtual work experience placement (more details below). These are publicised in weekly newsletters and via Google Classroom and offer bespoke insights into specific job roles and employment sectors.
