Testimonial

My Daughter at Hastings completed the virtual “exploring the veterinary profession” course through FutureLearn as a virtual work experience.   I sat with her on some of the modules to see what they were covering and found it quite informative.  It provided her an insight in more areas of veterinary that she hadn’t considered before, and the history/timeline of legislations etc which I think she found a bit bewildering! Whilst it didn’t provide any ‘hands on’ experience they went through what you would expect a typical day would be in a centre and the roles and responsibilities of each area.  My daughter has a little sat job at a local stables where she also loans and rides and she was particularly proud that when they did a module on Equine veterinary, she was able to tell me what medication the vet should give the horse before he explained it!   The course is one that I would recommend to others that may be interested in veterinary practices.
