Each student will create a New Year's-inspired artwork, in the style of POP ART and be able to identify and incorporate all 3 Complementary Color Pairs within their artwork, and using multiple media, according to the accompanying rubric.

Complementary Colors Pairs are 2 Colors that are across from each other on the Color Wheel, making them "Opposites".
Complementary Colors Pairs are 2 Colors that are across from each other on the Color Wheel, making them "Opposites".
Since they are Complementary Color Pairs, the colors enhance each other's vibrancy and make each other brighter!
We can see complementary colors in our day to day life all around us!

They happen to pop up throughout nature often!
We are going to use the complementary colors:
Blue and Orange first!
Choose one of your "2" boxes (it could be either the top or bottom box) and there are two ways you can use the complementary colors within that box, as seen below.
Now we have 1 box finished! We're going to move on to our next complementary color pair: RED and GREEN
