Thank you for covering my classes today!
Kindergarten students will use the crayon baskets (please match basket color to their table colors) and use pencils/black sharpies from the art cart.
**ALL CLASSES will have 1 period to finish this lesson, and all artwork will be collected before end of class.
Handouts for the lessons (warm ups only) can be found in the black fabric pull-out bin in the side of my cart. The art cart is in Rm 16.
OBJECTIVE:
Each student will follow along with guided instructions to complete their Red Fish, Blue Fish, artwork, inspired by Dr. Seuss, using multiple media and processes, accroding to the accomplanying rubric.

Using the Warm Up provided, allow the students to complete the tracing exercise! Students may use crayons to trace the lines!

All warm ups will go home as well. These warm ups are found in the black fabric bin of my art cart.

After the warm up, students will need to put their warm ups away in their folders/cubbies to go home. The students will move onto finishing their Red Fish, Blue Fish artworks. Please pass them out -- They are in the black and watercolor rainbow Kindergarten bin, & folders are labeled by Room #.

The students will need to use a regular pencil first to add wavy or straight stripes into the background. (at least 5 stripes please)

Please choose: Students will have access to Kwik Sticks (tempera paint sticks) OR they can use Crayons and Markers to add color to their stripes.

IT IS UP TO YOU and your COMFORT having the kids use these materials.
**IF you choose the paint sticks, please have students wipe tables with damp paper towels at end of lesson.**

AFTER THEY FINISH:
When finished, students can color a coloring page, found on the 4 narrow shelves under the "coloring pages" sign on the art cart. There are also different Dr. Seuss inspired papers in the black bin UNDER the coloring page shelves-- these are also available. The backs are blank, if they would prefer to draw. The students can take home their coloring pages and warm ups, but please keep their FISH artworks for me!
(Just leave them in my room on my desk in the back of RM 16)
