Thank you for covering my classes today! Kindergarten students can use the crayon baskets (please match basket color to their table colors) and use pencils/black sharpies from the art cart. ALL CLASSES will have 1 period to complete this lesson. Handouts for the lessons (warm ups only) can be found in the black fabric pull-out bin in the side of my cart.
OBJECTIVE:
Each student will follow along with guided instruction to create and complete their own seasonally inspired Silly Cinnamon Rolls artwork incorporating lines, texture, shapes, and colors, using multiple media that allow for student choice.

Using the Warm Up provided, allow the students to complete the tracing exercise!

All warm ups will go home as well.
These handouts can be found in the black fabric pull out bin on the side of my art cart.
There are a class size amount of these warm ups *IF* for some reason they already did the snow globe line tracing ( I don't these classes have though, so you probably won't need these)

Pass out white paper, found on the 3rd shelf down on my cart (under the two blue bins) & follow along with the guided drawing video to create your own silly cinnamon rolls! Feel free to pause the video as often as the students need to catch up and stay on pace with the artist.

STEP 4:
Now that the students are finished their cute Cinnamon Rolls, they can use their pencils to add in the plate underneath using round lines.
See image below-- Use two round lines (one small/one bigger) to reach from one side of the cinnamon rolls to the other side of them.
**Remember** they should be going down toward the bottom of the paper and not wrapping up toward the top like a rainbow!

Now that the students are finished their cute Cinnamon Rolls, they can use their pencils to add in the plate underneath using round lines.

Using their pencils, the students will add in a TABLE LINE next!
Use a HORIZONTAL LINE to add in a table line! Make sure that your lines go all the way to the edge of your paper, on both sides.

PAUSE TO TRACE WITH SHARPIE, and then begin to add in color to your backgrounds using whichever designs you'd like!
Next, pick a background design for above the line.
And pick a DIFFERENT background design for below the line.

When finished, students can color a coloring page, found on the 4 narrow shelves under the coloring page sign on the art cart. The backs are blank, if they would prefer to draw. The students can take home their coloring pages and warm ups, but please keep their cinnamon roll artworks! Please have each class clean up the room to maintain a safe and clean environment for all the students.
