Thank you for covering my afternoon classes today! Students can listen to the legend of Rudolph to begin class, and then follow along with the guided tutorial video
OBJECTIVE:
Each student will follow along with guided instructions/video tutorial to create and complete their own seasonally inspired Peppermint artwork - using at least two different PATTERNS within their artwork, and incorporating lines, color, and shapes, using multiple media that allow for student choice, according to the accompanying rubric.

Using the Warm Up provided and copied, allow the student to use the mr. sketch marker cups (in the blue bin at the supply station on the black countertop) to complete the tracing warm up, below!

Give them about 10 minutes with the markers, they love them! They will take the warm ups home with them, and if they finish the lines quick they can draw something on the back.

Students may use a pencil to draw a face, and then trace the face only with sharpie (regular thickness)

Pass out the Crayons (in the yellow bin, one box per table) and have the students use many different rainbow colors to create a fun op art effect on their acorn papers!

Remember to have them change colors everytime they cross a line so that the border of the acorn is reinforced!
STEP 5:
When finished, students can color a coloring page, found in the folders for each period. The backs are blank, if they would prefer to draw. The students can take home their acorn artworks, warm ups, and coloring pages! Please have each class clean up the room to maintain a safe and clean environment for all the students.
