** ALSO FEEL FREE TO PLAY A BRAIN BREAK INSTEAD, IF THERE IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES LEFT OF CLASS DURING/AFTER CLEAN UP
After breakfast and warm ups today, Pass out the scarf and buttons template. Please walk them through drawin in stripes on their scarfs with a pencil (if you brought sharpies, feel free to have them trace their lines to make them permanent) Let them choose a pattern for their scarf and color it in with any type of coloring media.
Cut out the scarf and buttons and glue down on to snowman and then decorate/color their night sky around the snowmans body! They can add snowflakes/the moon/stars anything and use any nightime colors :)
Thanks again!
Good Morning! Please start class with the snowmen at night story, and then you can use the 15 minutes timer for the warm ups/breakfast time whenever that happens. The students can use whatever they have to complete the warm up worksheets. If you brought my markers and blue pre k bin from the classroom feel free to let them use the markers!
Today the warm ups will be a little shorter, because there are only 3, as well as a different story to start. Today they will finish their snowmen.
After breakfast is cleaned up and the warms are through, the students will begin their snowman activity. This snowman is looking up at the night sky. Please pass out the snowman template that is dotted lines, and have the students use pencils first to trace the outline ofthe circle for the head, and then trace the body lines. If you brought black or silver sharpies from the art room you can have them trace with black or silver for the next step (If not- no worries the lines can stay pencil!) Please have the kids color in the carrot nose template with an orange tool, and then cut out the carrot and glue it onto the snowman like the example. Then have the students do the little dots for the snowman's smile. Please don't forget to write their names and hold on to their snowmnen for tomorrow (this is a two day activity).
