This week we:

• touched up our haikus and completed a good copy of them in a google slides presentation.

• learned about the -er and -est suffixes that are added to adjectives in Bug Morphology.

• practiced using the spelling rules when adding suffixes that start with vowels (see last week's post)

This week we:

• focused on Number Talks:

  • • How Many Ways?

    • Estimation 180

    • Solving Equations

    • Guess My Number

• started our next unit on measurement focusing on linear measurement with standard units. We have started by learning about centimetres and how to use a ruler.

This week we:

• learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch

• met Boyan Slat, the founder of The Ocean Cleanup

• chose our favourite natural environment that we want to protect, selected a photo and printed it out.

• learned about Rene Magritte's surrealist art work

• started our own version of The False Mirror by sketching an eye around an iris made from our favourite natural environment. Stay tuned for the finished pieces this week!
