participated in two really fun activities, The Crazy Train and Straw Rockets, to give us something to write about using our new personal narrative skills! First, we make a story plan, making sure to include a beginning, middle and end. Then, we get to write the story!
started focusing on r-controlled vowels using UFLI. We are beginning with the /ar/ sound. The /ar/ can be at the beginning, middle or end of a word.

focused on multi-digit addition strategies. We started with double digit addition with and without trading and worked our way up to three and four digit addition. Some of us even worked on adding more than two multi-digit addends together (452+681+426).
finished up our region of Alberta slideshow.
reviewed what we had learned during this unit by building our own Kahoot! It was so much fun coming up with questions, correct answers and tricky incorrect answers! Next week, we are going to play our Kahoot as a way of reviewing and studying.
