Year 2 have produced newspaper reports, documenting the events of the Great Fire of London.
An enormous deadly fire is burning London to a crisp. Londoners are running for their lives, for a fire is spreading rapidly. Investigators tell us it started in the early hours of Sunday morning on September 2. It appears to be that the inferno started on Pudding Lane in Thomas Farriner’s bakery who works for King Charles II.
London is still currently on fire because we have experienced a boiling summer and leather buckets are useless. The houses are made from wood, straw and mulch. Also, they are very close together. There are a lot of warehouses with oil and alcohol that the fire feeds on easily.
There was a strong wind. Our annoying mayor, Thomas Bludworth was quoted as saying “Everyone is fine” and “Pssst, a woman could pee it out!”. On the other side of London, locals are trying to put it out but it is no use.
Amazingly, no one knew Samuel Pepys kept a diary. In seconds, 13,000 homes, 44 livery companies and St Paul’s Cathedral have been burnt to ash. When will it end?
Flaming Houses.
Londoners were scared to death as the gigantic fire burnt through the city.
In 1666, a spark jumped from the oven at the bakery on Pudding Lane. It soon made the whole building on fire. People of Pudding Lane said that it was the maids fault because she forgot to put the oven out, but there was no time to argue because the maid had already died. Actually, she was the first person to die.
The locals have been left heartbroken. It has been a hot summer so the houses were very flammable as the houses were made of wood and straw. People were shouting for help as they ran from the horrible fire, which caused six people to die. The houses were burnt like they had been in an oven.
If this goes on, London will be on the menu for the fire. King Charles II has ordered houses to be pulled down to stop the fire spreading when he was seen on the streets lately.
A Massive Fire.
London was roaring with flames as peoples houses were destroyed. One hot morning, London was on fire. People ran to the River Thames as they noticed that the fire had become unstoppable. The fire spread all over the city as people saw their houses burning into the ground. People screamed for their lives and were in shock at the danger.
Samuel Pepys is writing a diary so that’s however everyone will know the fire started in 1666 in Pudding Lane of London.
Yesterday, the fire finally stopped but Pudding Lane has melted into pieces and the entire of London has been burnt.
