Year 1

Year 1 have been exploring Michael Bond's classic Paddington Bear.

The children imagined they were Paddington himself and wrote letters to his Aunt Lucy.

Alma - Globe

Dear Aunt Lucy,

I hope you are keeping well. I am still at the Browns house. The Browns gave me my own bedroom. I am a lucky bear!

You will not believe that I made a few other mistakes. I broke Mr Brown’s favourite plate and I thought I would be in trouble, but Mr Brown said it was ok. I was watering the plants when I accidentally watered them too much, but the Browns said it was ok.

I was doing some artwork of Jackson Pollock’s splatter painting when I accidentally splattered paint all over the walls. Luckily, the Browns did not get mad at me. I’ve made so many mistakes but the Browns aren’t fed up with me!

I miss you lots.

Love from, Paddington.

Fedoriya - Savoy

Dear Aunt Lucy,

Today I visited the chocolate museum, it was gigantic! It made me feel amazed and excited.

As I was walking I fell into a chocolate swimming pool! I made a big mess, Aunt Lucy.

From, Paddington.

Ide - Old Vic

Dear Aunt Lucy,

I went to the funfair and I went on the ferris wheel. The man didn’t let me on, so I snuck in and got stuck on the ferris wheel!

I was feeling upset and sad. I jumped off and landed on some rocks. Then I was okay. I went home to the Browns and had some tea.

How are you?

Love from, Paddington
