Dear Community Members,
On Wednesday, we proudly celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2024 at our GJS Year 12 Graduation Ceremony. To all our graduating and departing Year 12 students, please know that we are immensely proud of each and every one of you. As you embark on this new chapter of your lives, we wish you a future filled with good health, happiness, and success, whether your adventures are in new cities and countries around the world or here in Indonesia.
We are also delighted to announce that our Year 6 students, the GJS Class of 2030, have successfully completed their Primary Years Programme and are ready to begin their journey in Secondary School as our incoming Year 7 students for the 2024-2025 school year. We eagerly anticipate their valuable contributions to our school community as our newest and youngest Secondary cohort.
If you missed any other of our graduations or celebrations, please check out the Events page of this Kontak for links to our videos. If you wish to see all recent and past GJS video publications, please visit our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/GlobalJayaSchoolOfficial/videos.
It is the time of year when we also say farewell to some of our GJS faculty and staff who will depart our community at this year's conclusion. Please see our list of departing faculty and staff below who have diligently and professionally served the students and the wider GJS community during their tenure. We wish all our departing faculty and staff the best moving forward! (Please scroll through all slides below).
Today, we witnessed faculty, staff, students, and some parents whose last child has graduated from GJS sharing their farewells and until next time. Every year, the last days of the school year result in a combination of joy, laughter, sadness, and tears. We wish all our departing community members farewell and best wishes on their new adventures. Thank you for contributing to our community during your precious time with us.
Dearest PA Team, TSAN organising committee and volunteering parents:
On behalf of our GJS faculty, staff and Leadership teams, I CONGRATULATE you, our PA Team, the organising committee and volunteering parents for your Teacher and Staff Appreciation Night 2024 planning, preparations, and execution. The night of Friday, June 7, was overflowing with happiness, laughter, cheering, clapping, singing, dancing, pride, surprise, AND topped off with a great deal of thankfulness. It was spot on!!!!
The energy and positivity beamed through and, in the end, resulted in an evening that I believe our faculty will remember and hold dear as they head off into their summer holidays and beyond. We thank you for your care, consideration, determination, flexibility and generosity as you worked to make TSAN 2024 the outstanding event it was. THANK YOU!

Thank you to the faculty, staff, students, parents, Directors and Trustees of Global Jaya School. The past five years have been an incredible personal and professional experience for me and a fantastic life experience for my family.
A very heartfelt thank you to our Directors, Pak Trisna, Pak Okky, and Pak Edmund, and our General Manager, Ibu Lien Lien, for allowing me to serve as Head of School for Global Jaya School, constantly demonstrating confidence and support in our shared focus of helping GJS evolve in its ability to provide a quality international education within our firmly rooted host country context. This experience has been fantastic, filled with many challenges and successes, for which I'm incredibly and eternally grateful.
Working with the faculty and staff, students, parents, and guardians daily has been my pleasure. Our community's focus on building and maintaining a trusting, collaborative, and family-like atmosphere has, without a doubt, resulted in the most enriching and rewarding educational environment I have had the opportunity to be associated with.
I'm incredibly grateful to our School Board, Leadership Team, Pedagogical Leadership Team, General Affairs, and Community Liaison Teams, members both past and present, who are such a talented group and embody so much experience, character, and professionalism. Our collaborative nature, shared vision, sense of purpose, and dedication to those we serve - faculty, staff, students, and community - formed the basis of our lasting and productive relationships.
Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to the Global Jaya School community of faculty and students, not forgetting the passionate parents who support our outstanding school. Family first, and my family has found a home here and has loved being a part of this beautiful community. My sons have grown up and been educated here; as a family, we are forever connected to the community of GJS as alumni and parents.
I apologize if, at any time during my tenure, my words or actions caused you to be upset; please forgive me. I have always sought to focus my intentions and efforts on the well-being, success, and long-term sustainability of our school and its constituents.
To the entire Global Jaya School family, we wish you great success moving forward.
Warmest and Kindest Regards,
Pak Cory Carson
