Poetry Performance

Poems are all about one topic, it could be any topic. It could also be a rhyming poem that ends with ‘ry’ or ‘et’, etc. Poems are also all about giving reactions and feelings to the listener. When I performed my poetry performance, I was nervous but at the least I got reactions such as, “awwww” or a few parents crying because they were so proud of me. The benefits of doing poetry is being able to express your feelings to others, getting reactions and making people understand the topic in a different way. Other benefits of poetry is improving risk-taking and communication skills, because of the way you present the poem. Communicating to the audience with expression is the most important thing about presenting poetry. Things I experience when making a poem and performing a poem is expressing the words in different ways like movement or a change in voice.
